Military Assaults

I'm concerned that this is the first time I've heard about this and that I had to find out from another blog. Thankfully some people (not me obviously) actually blog abour relevant shit. Wow, gotta love what the military does for women. Thanks for helping in the war lets just forget that little rape incident.

Women have been experiencing rape by their fellow service members for many, many years. Tailhook and the more recent Airforce Academy assaults were extraordinary in one aspect only: they were publicized. The issue of rape in general is one that is always sent to the back burner while men get on with their very important war businesses.
Also, be aware that rape has been used systematically for all of "civilized" history as a weapon of war, to humiliate and subjugate societies. Here is some more reading for anyone who wishes:

Thanks Sarah. As always I appreciate your info. You keep making post this stuff on our blog. Pretty soon I won't have any irrelevant black belt chimps or anything. Oh well. We all have to grow up someday. Right? Well maybe. I won't go that far yet.
